FAQs
What’s your policy on comments?
Generally speaking, we at The Main Street Journal want the broadest range of comments possible; we reserve the right to remove comments that, in our opinion, stifle discourse. Specifically, we welcome praise, criticism, and everything in between, as long as the comment meets the following criteria:
Constructive – Your comment should be making an actual and relevant point, not just expressing an opinion (e.g., “you suck”).
Not Ad Hominem – Your comment should focus on an issue, not on us personally (e.g., “Shuman sucks”).
Not Commercial – Don’t spam us to advertise an event or your hair crème.
Nearly all comments made in the last four years easily passed these simple tests. If you’re unsure, however, please send inquiries to us at jen@main-street-journal.com.
